Some cemeteries require that the memorial be a flat granite marker.
There are three size markers that can be used. The standard size marker that can contain one or two names is 24" in length, 12" in width and 4" in thickness.
Some cemeteries require that the memorial be a slant marker. This type of marker is mainly for a single grave which is for one or two burials. The standard size for a slant marker is 24" in length, 12" in width and it is usually 18" in height. Additionally, some cemeteries require that the slant marker be set with a granite base.
The section that the burial is in will dictate what type of maker you can use.
There are different color granites that you may choose from. Choosing a color other than gray, which is the standard, is a matter of preference.
